This is a great, hidden neighborhood gem. They have delicious cocktails. I recommend the bow tie pasta and the crostini, and although I tend to stick with the same order each time I go, I've liked everything I've tried. They sometimes have brunch on weekends with bottomless mimosas, sangria, and/or bloody marys, but I'd call to check before going as they are a small business and may change up their schedule on a whim. As with most neighborhood spots, I wouldn't stop in if you're in a rush.

Although I always recommend non-chains, I know that some of my guests have never been to this Atlanta favorite. Great if you're crunched for time, but not open on Sundays!

Mediterranea is entirely gluten-free, offering the tastiest plant-based menu. I just made it sound boring but it's very good! This is probably the most expensive/fancy place to eat in my neighborhood at the moment - they have cloth napkins, candles, and may require a reservation depending on when you arrive. They have a rooftop as well which I've not yet been on, but likely has great views of the city.

This is mostly a drive-thru as they have two tables in their tiny building. They have delicious burgers though. I always get their Santa Fe Black Bean burger, which is the best black bean burger I've ever had.

Great little spot that serves local farm-grown fare and handmade sodas/mixed drinks. Currently, they are only open for breakfast and lunch. It can be a tad loud inside mostly due to their choices in decor (concrete floors, metal tables and chairs, nothing to absorb sound), so it's not a great place if you're trying to have a discussion with someone who struggles with hearing, like my dad.

One of the highest rated breakfast spots in the area. Ria's has amazing food, and can have amazing wait times as well if you go during prime time. You'll also have to wait outside. It's well worth it though if you have the time and the weather is good! It's right across from Oakland Cemetery.
