Neighbourhoods
The apartment is located almost at the top of Puig de la Llorença, a hill on the coast just north of Moraira. The hill was sold by the local government to the VAPF development company in 1975, who built the residential resort Cumbre del Sol (“Summit of the Sun”).
There are two access roads to Cumbre del Sol: the north entrance (towards Benitachell) and the south entrance (towards Moraira). The development has a supermarket, restaurant, cafe, sport facilities and its own beach. It is popular with cyclists, and hosted a stage finish of the Vuelta a España in 2015.
The Costa Blanca has an average of 325 sunny days per year, and there are usually good views to sea. On a really clear day you should be able to see Ibiza and Formentera in the distance. To identify passing ships, we recommend the free app MarineTraffic.
Some of our favourite places are listed in this guide. We try to keep this up-to-date, but businesses may close without warning. You may wish to check before making a special trip.
