Traveler advice
Getting around
No congestion here
While Coffeyville sits at the junction of two US highways (169 and 166), there’s no congestion to be found. Streets are calm enough for biking and the city is flat. New paved trail segment added at 4th & Poplar, a few minutes from the house, providing access to shops along 8th and 11th streets.

What to pack
New to the Midwest?
If you're new to traveling in the Midwest, plan for weather. Forecasts are more accurate these days, but one week can bring wild temperature swings and other weather extremes. Tornado season is generally March through August, and our home has a weather radio and a basement for shelter. If you're planning to be outdoors, definitely use bug spray.
