This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but our family really enjoys the breakfast and espresso here. With original shopping carts lining the interior perimeter of the building, it is easy to tell that at one time this structure used to serve as the primary grocery store for the small town of Gilbert dating back to the 1930’s. This is a great option if the wait at The Farmhouse is a little too long for your liking.

Although a little way out in Queen Creek, San Tan Flat is a must visit and great for all ages. This unique country western bar was voted best county western bar by Phoenix New Times. Shortly after opening in 2005, Pinal County dusted off the law and declared dancing at the establishment was not allowed in their county. After a long battle in court, San Tan won the argument and patrons were allowed to scoot their boots along the dance floor. If dancing is not your kick, you can roast marshmallows over a campfire or just sit and sway to the live country music on stage outside while you enjoy a cold beer and delicious BBQ from one of the various walk-up bars.
