Parks & Nature
The mountain of San Felipe del Agua, as the name suggests, has provided water to the city since Colonial times. It remains a secluded and well-preserved forest, managed by the local community of San Felipe, and offering casual walks, day-long hikes and is a popular destination for mountain biking. It's always been safe, but some land disputes have surfaced in the past few years and the trails are occasionally closed to the public. Double-check before going.
