My favorite bar in New York. It's just right. There will be hipsters, but it won't be hipster scene. Generally lacks annoying people. And they have Arancini (sicilian fried balls... you have no idea)

Two floors up, on room, lit red with soviet decor. Actor/writer scene, everyone is chill and the drinks are serious. One of the few spots in the East Village without fratty bros working in finance.

Out of the way, but the drinks are cheap, the vibe is good, and they have Tatchos: nachos but with tater tots and disco tots: tater tots w/ gravy + cheese curd. Poutine but with tater tots. So good.
