Dempsey Hill has a simple yet interesting structure that is placed in the middle of many tall and leafy trees, giving the site a refreshing contrast. It houses many well-received Dempsey restaurants that keep patrons wanting to return for a second experience. While it is a beautiful sight in the day, it is especially beautiful at night. Furthermore, Dempsey hill has an impressive variety of different cuisines as well as styles of service to suit the likings of each individual, thus making Dempsey road a must-visit.

Must visit the quirky and vibrant street of Haji Lane – Singapore’s trendy neighbourhood! This long, narrow road is lined with fusion restaurants, bars and eclectic shops. Street performers, expats and locals pour out from the bar onto the streets with beer appreciating really good music in this idyllic part of town!
Of course it has quirky shops and clothing stores. Arab street is known for its textiles. A must go place for both cute stuff to buy and amazing nite.
Beirut Grill- 72 Bussorah Street $$
Fukusen – Best Japanese and reasonable $$

Essentials
BUS 126 TO ZHONG SHAN MALL (BIG SHOPPING MALL)
My home is 4 bus stops away from Zhong Shan Mall with beers, eateries and a very large supermarket. You can then buy groceries and then take bus 21 or 126 to go back home from Balestier Road or continue to walk and and eat there. You will pass Whampoa Market on the way back.
I think it is $1.40 for 3-5 stops at bus.
WHAT TO EAT AT ZHONG SHAN MALL
Lebanese Pistachio Grill, very good and cheap, authentic
Starker Bar – Home made beer and good food
Japanese and lots of Restaurants
Balestier Road HAS SO MUCH GOOD FOOD!

Getting Around
MRT – BOON KENG MRT
This is across the underground walkway outside the 24 hour supermarket at underpass and takes 15mins to walk. It is a little far so please cycle.
USE GRAB BIKES TO GET TO MRT/ DOWNLOAD GRAB CYCLE APP
I suggest to cycle to MRT or to Whampoa Market or Balestier Road instead of walking.
These are the yellow bikes down the block. Just download the app and scan the QR code at back top of bike wheel.
GRAB TAXIS/GOJEK
Download the app and it is about $8-10 to go to Orchard depending if it is peak hours. I find gojek cheapest
COMFORT TAXIS
You can book 65521111 with my house phone or flag one down. I can spend 30% more sometimes so best to check all 3 apps.
