Food Scene
Dahlonega has a small but robust food scene. Ann and I prefer dining in the area around the Public Square because we like being able to take a stroll after a meal.

We almost always sit at the bar, order a slice and a beer or a glass of wine and just chill. The pizza is excellent and there is a good "by the slice" selection. Great selection of beer, too, or so I've been told by folks with better palates than I possess.

Great griil. It's too far to walk from the Public Square but an easy drive. We always enjoy it. It's simply basic American fare, well done.

Small but fascinating. A must see and perfect for a rainy day. Be sure to ask if the old jail is open. Another fascinating spot but not open to visitors most of the time.
