Take the mail boat from Stonington, a charming, salty little historic town, to the island of Isle au Haut, hike around the island and then return on the mail boat. Somewhat challenging for kids to do the whole hike, but great for older kids and adults.

This is a fabulous wild blueberry field where you can go pick blueberries for free and enjoy a spectacular view. The Walker Pond swim area is just down the dirt driveway from this area.
