This town is worth 2 visits to truly appreciate it, one during the day and one on an evening. Beautiful architecture, restaurants, bars and boutiques line the cobbled streets of the old town, with modern shops in the new town. The Market on Saturdays is worth a visit, and meanders through both the old and new parts of the town. The street entertainment in the old town on the evenings is well worth seeing.

Beautiful village built into the cliffs beside the river Dordogne. Tourist boat trips from the river side, and you can pull up in a canoe to have a wander around. Because of its situation in the cliff side it has its own micro-climate allowing tropical plants to grow down the streets. fantastic views, lovely tourist shops and cafes, worth a visit!

Relaxing, Picnics and dog walking

To avoid the summer buzz of the river Dordogne... The quiet village of Daglan has 2 areas beside the river Ceou for picnics. One has a small waterfall and is deep enough to swim in, a children's play area and BBQ. The other has shallow water and a foot bridge. We love to take the dogs there, they love to play in the water. *Note: this river can dry up in the hot summer months. There is also a great cycle track through the valley bottom from Daglan to Castelnaud which we would definitely recommend. Low gradients and great views. We have bicycles you can hire.

Quiet village over the river ceou with a beautiful picnic area. We like to walk left from the picnic area, beside the river a few hundred metres to find the little rock pools to swim in, a rope swing and small water falls. Great for a lazy afternoon. Parking at the bridge, snack bar over the bridge on the left. *Note: Rock pools can dry up in the hottest parts of the summer months. Also sits on the Ceou valley cycle track, definitely recommended!
