My monthly pilgrimage for their amazing puff pastry tart: apple or figs depending on the season. The plus is that their bread and other pastries are also delicious.

Quick bite at affordable prices. Everything is fresh and made to order, nothing fancy though. Rice bowls with organic veggies and choice of egg, fish, chicken or vegetarian for about 7 euros. Nice option for the noglu tribe as well.

Shopping
It's pricey (contrary to what the name of the store means, bon marche in french means affordable :) ) but if you're looking for a high-end shopping department store , Le Bon Marche hits the spot, even their food section is worth checking out. The upside is you are in the right neighborhood for shoes and bags as well

Arts & Culture
One of my fave, a former train station refurbished as a Museum (about a 20 mins walk from the aparment but very easy public transportation options to get there), and home to the french impressionists and much more. It's also right across one of the nicest Jardins in Paris: les Tuileries. ( my favorite jardin is palais royal though)

Entertainment & Activities
A nice spot especially during the sunnier months, on Ile de la Cite just off the Pont Neuf ( the oldest bridge in Paris hence the name :) ). Parisians (even famous ones!) gather to play "la petanque", very similar to bocce. Fun, parisian scenes.
It's real close to the Pont des Arts, the lovers bridge that takes you from the Palais Mazarin ( Academie Francaise) to the Louvre.
Catch the 69 bus on rue saint dominique, about 5 mns walk from the apartment at the corner of Avenue Bosquet and Rue saint dominique. It'll take you to the louvre and Musee d'orsay.
