Cocktails. Homemade tamales. Mezcal!

Being the winos that we are, Vita Vite is one of our new favorite hangouts. With really cozy seating (plus 2 fireplaces) and a reasonably priced wine menu (with delicious cheese plates), it's a great Friday night spot!

A great place to feel like a local - the bartender who is usually there will make you feel right at home and there are usually dogs walking in and out. Grab a bottle of wine off the shelf and either take it with you or enjoy it in the shop! Either way, you'll get a real feel for the neighborhood vibe.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Raleigh! Try the Pork Belly Soup, Chicken Curry, or Sea Bass Mok. Sit at the bar and get great wine recommendations from Jordan, or try one of his funky cocktail creations. Be prepared for a wait, or make a reservation ahead of time.

One of our newest Person Street additions - Chef Scott Crawford uses local fresh ingredients to create incredible Southern-inspired dishes. You'll definitely need a reservation here as it's been booked solid since it's opening in late fall 2016. A couple of my favorites - the octopus and swordfish, but the menu is always changing.

If you're looking for great fresh sushi (and creative rolls!) without a ridiculous price tag - check out City Market Sushi. You can walk through City Market and check out the little shops on your way to grab sushi. Also a new addition to Raleigh - they opened late 2016 but have already become a favorite of ours!
