Mathallen is Oslos' food market with lots of food booths and places to eat and drink. I also recommend taking a walk through the Vulkan.area when you are there. Once the industry -heavy banks of Akerselva, now it's a modern new city developing project.

One of Oslos most popular areas for hiking. Take metro 5 to Sognsvann. Walk around the lake (ca. 3,5 km) and take a swim if you want. You can also use this as a starting point for longer hikes in "marka", as we call the woodlands round Oslo. Hiking tip: Try the 5,5 km route to Ullevålseter where you can buy something to eat and drink. Ullevålseter is open Tuesday -Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. This is a easy route suitable for anyone who can walk.
! The graveled road around Sognsvann is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers :-)
