Parks & Nature
This park in the center of downtown is walkable from the house and hosts many yearly events (Charleston Wine & Food (Mar), Charleston Fashion Week (Mar), Southeastern Wildlife Expo (Feb)), and, most notably, the seasonal Saturday Farmers' Market (Apr-through Dec). One can easily spend a few hours, enjoying a freshly made breakfast/coffee, buying a keepsake, or picking up some fresh veggies/fruit, flowers or pasta to enjoy later. There usually is live music and activities for the kids (jump castle and pony rides). A "must" in my book.
