Getting Around

Tram number 8 takes you from Piazza San Giovanni di Dio and leads to Piazza Venezia passing through Trastevere. The ticket can be purchased from the newsagent under the house (via Raffaele Balestra) and costs 1.50 euros. The duration of the ticket, once stamped (when you get on the tram), is 75 minutes. From Piazza Venezia, which is the terminus, you can move on foot throughout the historic center, towards the Colosseum, towards Piazza di Spagna and towards the Pantheon. The tram always works, including holidays. In the evening after midnight it turns into a bus, with the same route but on the road and not on rails.
