An easy walk through the Tangletown neighborhood brings you to Green Lake, a lively park for activities of all sorts - walking, running, inline skating, skateboarding, slack-lining, frisbee, birdwatching (keep an eye out for great blue herons and bald eagles!), people watching. Not a bad place to catch Pokemons, either! :)

Unique park overlooking Lake Union with vast green lawns for frisbee and kite-flying, picnic tables and grills, walking paths and - prominently - the old rusty remains of a gas works. A superfund site never looked so good! Accessible to the Burke-Gilman trail, which will take you to Fremont to the west and the U-District to the east.

Sightseeing
Google Maps calls it "Meridian," but locals call it Tangletown, aptly-named because of the tangled streets. The north-south grid smashes into the Green Lake radial pattern, creating a neighborhood easy to get lost in. No worries, though, because it is a delightful area to explore classic working class Seattle bungalows, lovely gardens, and some great cafes, pubs and restaurants.

This restaurant and brewpub is an institution in north Seattle. The Latona was smoke-free long before it became law. Rotating taps of local and regional brews; a bias toward IPAs, and quite a good food menu. 21+ only.
