This is our favorite spot to hike at the beach on the central coast. A mile hike through the hills is rewarded with arrival at the rocky headland. Hike north another mile and choose your spot. Virtually free of people. As beautiful coast line as Big Sur but close up and personal. Take a towel and binoculars. Abundant seals, pelicans, swallows nesting in the cliffs, raptors making the rounds, and incredible show in late afternoon, closes at sundown. Have dinner in Cayucos and then head home, to Wellspring Ranch.
