Peaceful, great walking, short taxi from Lymington, or 5 mins in a car.
The coastal walk to Keyhaven and onto Milford on Sea is gorgeous. Walk direct from the cottage there and back. Good pub at the Gunn for drinks to warm up. Or Yachthaven for lunch.

We put this in the Park category because the walk out and back, or boat trip, is so wild and beautiful. The castle itself is v cool ancient hang out for lots of kings and queens, plus a WWI and WW!! defences. Amazing place for a coastal walk that will blow any cobwebs away. Amazing cafe there too (but basic - no running water or elec at the end of the Spit).
