Aku-Aku are the spirits of our ancestors. Some of them are mischievous, but they are mainly friendly. Everyone has their own Aku-Aku, who will give you advice when you need it. They are invisible and walk next to you on your left hand side. They are about as tall as your knee and can travel very fast. They can get as far as Chile and back in about two minutes.
You should take care of your Aku-Aku, and they will surely take care of you.

The Vigeland Park is the world's largest sculpture park made by a single artist, and is one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. The park is open to visitors all year round.
The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Vigeland was also in charge of the design and architectural layout of the park. The Vigeland Park was mainly completed between 1939 and 1949.
Most of the sculptures are placed in five units along an 850 meter long axis: The Main gate, the Bridge with the Children's playground, the Fountain, the Monolith plateau and the Wheel of Life.

Thor Heyerdahl (1914-2002) gained worldwide fame when he crossed the Pacific Ocean on the balsawood raft Kon-Tiki in 1947. He followed this up with spectacular expeditions on the reed boats Ra and Tigris. At the Kon-Tiki Museum, guests can experience original vessels and up-to-date exhibits on Heyerdahl’s expeditions, including Kon-Tiki, Ra, Tigris, Easter Island, Fatu-Hiva, Tùcume, Galapagos, a 30-metre cave tour, an underwater exhibit with a 10-metre model of a whale shark, Thor Heyerdahl’s library, Thor Heyerdahl the person, and Tiki pop culture. The original, Oscar-winning Kon-Tiki documentary is screened every day at 12 noon in the cinema on the lower level. The museum has a well-stocked souvenir shop.
Thor Heyerdahls recreations of prehistoric voyages showed that early man had mastered sailing before the saddle and wheel were invented. His reputation as a scientist was consolidated through his archaeological excavations on the fabled, mysterious Easter Island. Curiosity was Thor Heyerdahl's driving force. If you want to learn more about his exciting work, you can visit the Kon-Tiki Museum in Oslo.
Thor Heyerdahl’s archives at the Kon-Tiki Museum have now been included in UNESCO’s Memory of the World register.
