Founded by friends from my University, it is an amazing seafood place but arrive early and be prepared to wait about 30 minutes to get seated.

Very cool and hip scene. I have seen a number of celebrities eat here. Healthy, organic, farm to table type place and very good food.

High end, more on the expensive side, but very very good locally owned farm to table type, gourmet American food. If you have the budget and want a nice dinner in this neighborhood, recommend Hearth.

Amazing thin crust gourmet pizza restaurant. Amazing pizza -- if you love Pizza, you must try this place. They serve wine and beer too and it's a sit down type of place.

Hands down my favorite bottomless brunch spot in all of NYC. They have the best Bloody Marry's I think on this planet and they serve that for their bottomless brunch option on the weekends. It is a must see if you love brunch and day drinking.

Drinks & Nightlife

One of my favorite new cocktail bars in the city. It is an elegant type of scene, high end drinks, beautiful people, etc. Recommend checking it out for one or two drinks at some point.

Speakeasy-ish vibe -- high end cocktails will cost a bit more than normal but it is a very cool scene. Recommended. They also have a hidden restaurant in the back you have to ask about (speakeasy).

One of the most famous speak-easies in the city. Enter through Crif Dogs (hot dogs) restaurant, go through a phone booth to the left opens up into a chic cocktail scene.

The Lower Eastside is where the real New Yorker's go clubbing and bar hopping (not Meat Packing - it's for tourists). Just walk around this area and pop into whatever looks good to you. It can be wild on weekend nights.

Good Mexican food and one of my favorite bottomless brunches. The best hands down Margaritas I have ever had (you can get these at the bottomless brunch on weekends).
