We don't love eating in the French quarter in general. The upscale and pricy restaurants are great, but anything cheaper tends not to be very good. This restaurant is an exception, well priced, decent food. It has a great history to it, the building is amazing (was originally meant to be Napoleon's house once he arrived), cute patio as well.

Wonderful creole food in an amazing and quirky location. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the city; try the alligator cheesecake (it is savory, not sweet). There is usually a wait though, so show up early and grab a drink at the Maple leaf bar next door and wander the neighborhood. They only accept reservations for parties over 5.
