William Shakespeare's birth town. There is so much to see and do in and around Stratford-Upon-Avon. In the town itself, you can go to the world famous RSC and Swan theatres, and walk along the lake. You can purchase a ticket to go into Shakespeare's Birthplace. New Place and Nash's House are also in the town centre, as is the Guild Hall and Grammar school. Stratford is a working town, so you will also find shops and banks within the town. The hop-on-hop-off bus tours will take you to all the places of interest within Stratford, and will even take you out to Anne Hathaway's Cottage in Shottery.

For the less brave, you can get sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes etc.
