Best coffee in town is probable the coffee at the Reykjavik Roasters. They have 3 locations. Check out the newest one in art space Ásmundarsalur on Freyjugata. Beautiful interior and not as tourist filled as the original location on Kárastígur.

Traveler advice

Getting around

Scooters – easy to get, easy to use.

I recommend my guests to download the Hopp app and use it to get cheap scooters around the city, there are always some scooters around. It's cheap, environmental friendly and fun. Reykjavík is a small city so it is easy to get around by a scooter.
Getting around

Flybus to and from the airport

I recommend the Flybus.is for getting from and to the Keflavik International Airport. It is the fastest way to get to BSI Bus Terminal in downtown Reykjavik and the terminal is only little over 10 min. walk from my place or a cheap taxi ride.
Getting around

Get KLAPPIÐ app for bus tickets

The app KLAPPIÐ is the way to buy tickets for local busses. Not perfect but works and you can stop fearing of paying with all the small coins.
Getting around

App for paid parking

The PARKA app is good for parking, also works at major tourist destinations.
