Aker Brygge is a melting pot where people meet, mingle and visit. Oslo´s residents come to shop, eat and drink, perhaps hop on a boat to one of the islands, or just enjoy fresh seafood from the boats by the dock. The area is a popular tourist destination and gives you a brief historical overview of Norwegian shipbuilding, naval- and oil industry. You will probably meet both business people on the move, musicians, artists as well as celebrities on a stroll at Aker Brygge.

The river Akerselva is more like a urban park. The river strolls from Kjelsås, through Torsion and Grünerløkka and all the way down to Grønland and The Opera Building. Perfect for a Sunday walk! Make sure to stop at Mathallen for a lemon pie at Hello Good Pie and a bittersweet beer at Hopyard, the Sunday Market at Blå and maybe even the outdoor concert Frank Znort at Blå 14:00.
