Lovely local restaurant / cafe / cocktail bar run by my friends, sisters Becky and Gabby from West Wales. It's been here for ten years, I often sit here with a coffee to work, and there's a friendly staff.

Parks & Nature
Turn right out of the door, walk to the end of the road and you'll emerge onto Wellfield Road facing the Library, which is at the bottom of the Rec. Wander up the rec, maybe catching a game of rugby on the way, then into the Pleasure Gardens, with it's benches, arboretum, bridge, bowls lawns and tennis courts, and then to the motorway bridge and roundabouts. Go under the bridge and you're in Roath Park, with it's botanic garden, boating lake, play area, rose garden. It'll be amazing :)

Wales' National Museum, Cardiff, has a fine collection of French impressionist art, a permanent exhibition on the history of Wales and a decent place for coffee. It's free, and is worth wandering around, if you have time for it.
