Nice spot in nearby Stamford for solid breakfast or lunch. They keep your coffee full and your belly fuller (is that a word?). We stopped in here for lunch when we were first getting to know the area. It's just as good now as it was then.

If you've never been to a Stewart's you should at least check it out. They have your basic convenience store items, but they also have an ice cream counter, a sandwich counter, pretty good coffee, pretty good doughnuts, and they also sell gas. Their employees are minority owners in the company, and they're usually well-staffed. The place is always busy.

This incredible event barn was built by hand by the owners only a couple years ago. While they don't have any open hours, you could probably look them up on Facebook or Google and hit them up for a quick tour. From spring through the end of summer their gardens are an amazing compliment to the barn.

One of the highest points in the Catskills, with some amazing views on a clear day. It's a little bit of a rough drive once you get up toward the top, but it's worth it. Just take it slow.

Parks & Nature
Don't let the name fool you, there's not much of a beach here. But there is a creek where you can swim. Technically speaking it might be private property, but they do allow folks to swim. Just don't bring your dog. Parking isn't far. Not necessarily recommended for folks or children who can't swim.

We've heard the tour is pretty good, but we've only been there for one of their outdoor concerts. Great place with tons of parking... it's a literal castle in the middle of nowhere! When they're having an event they have lots of local food trucks on-site.
