Our friends place is a Gastown institution. The funnest vibe around, great staff and tasty tacos/beer/margaritas. Its a small spot and gets super busy, so be warned if you go there hungry at prime time.

Great food of course, but I also really like the bar. In fact, I always sit in the bar when I come here because the bar staff really take care of you. But the whole staff, from the GM right on down are top. Good cocktails, food and vibes.

Great atmosphere and some cool views from the big, arched, upstairs windows and into Maple Square. Very much a cocktail bar but their old speakeasy recently became legal and they opened it up to the public. More a whiskey and beer place, but cool all the same.

The owners and staff make this place a favorite among locals. Great cocktails, with one of the most knowledgeable bartenders around. It has a hidden gem within, if the bar gets too busy, so its a perfect spot for locals when the neighborhood gets hopping on the weekends (wink wink).

The live music, in particular on Thursdays for soul, is one of Vancouver's best nights out. Old school, downstairs, sweaty and with a great vibe. I can't think of a better Thursday night out in Vancouver if you like live music.

This is a nice little destination that has something for most people in a night out. The lounge is open and inviting, the restaurants are high quality and the hotels are great. Casino's in Canada might not be as fun as other places, but the surroundings make up for it!

Parks & Nature
This huge nature park has something for everyone. Its a great spot to enjoy peace and quiet, long walks on nice trails, and even manicured gardens and lawns for picnics. There is a water park for kids and the seawall views are stunning.
We recommend cycling to the park as the seawall and trails make the park so much more accessible.
