Essentials
I've always seen this little supermarket since I was a child. Ernesto, the owner, is a very kind person. There you can find "the essentials", also the famous baccalà (code) to do "in tecia" (Vicenza style) or "mantecato" (creamed).

This is a bakery. Come in and ask the blond and kind lady to sell you a "veneziana" or treccia a sort of yellowish (it is made with eggs and sugar) sweet bread. Buonissimo (delicious).

Splendid and good for children.
This Museum belongs to the Italian navy military and tells the story of the power of the Republic of Venice.
It preserves many models of boat coming from the Serenissima era, like the Trireme, a kind of war galley, like the Bucintoro, the ceremonial ship used by the Doge on the Ascension Day for the "marriage of Venice with the Sea", like many models of typical Venetian lagoon boats and some interesting pieces of the Second World War.
The museum is located in the former barns of the Republic of Venice.

Sightseeing
Unmissable. It was built on the basis of a project by Jacopo Sansovino, the façade was made by Palladio. In front of the church you can see also the Doge's Palace Andrea Gritti, famous among other things to be dead after a huge binge of eels :-O
