Municipal museum, blue house below my house. Traditional exhibitions in the towns oldest houses. Also Siggubær, a small old house built by blue collar family last century. Walk up Kirkjuvegur and you can't miss it. Look inside, has been kept in original condition.

Old town movie theater, now mainly concerts and shows. Check if they have an event while you're here, 3 minutes walk from the house, a night well spent. P.s. my grandfather used to work at the movie theater when I was little, think cinema paradiso :)

Parks & Nature
Almost 100 years old garden in a lava field. Started by pioneers in gardening, who were of course laughed at for trying to grow trees in Iceland. Known for rich presence of "hidden people", elves, dwarfs etc. who live and work in the garden, have their church by the pond and guard the children who play in the swings. Lovely picnic place. Next street up behind the house. Pictoresque christmas lights decorations.
