Great place to observe a wide variety of waterfowl, raptors and other birds. There is a canoe trail as well as handicap accessible blinds to observe birds and wildlife. There is also a motor route which allows vehicular travel to observe various areas of the refuge. One of my favorite places to go

Alpine Lake at about 7000 feet altitude. Fishing and the famous rope swing for those daring souls. Hike one mile on the well marked trail to the lake. See if you can spot the arch in the craggy formations at the East side of the lake.

This little reservoir is a fun family fishery. It is regularly stocked with rainbow hybrids. Perch and Kokanee are also present. No motors are allowed and shore fishing is good.
