The neighborhood of Cabbagetown is so called because the Irish immigrants who first settled there in the late 1840s were apparently so poor that they planted cabbage in their front yards. Now, the neighborhood has many lovely restaurants, and streets lined with beautiful old houses. A great place to wander the neighborhood after a lovely brunch.
