This is a great place for sushi! It's right in downtown Manhattan Beach. Very yummy! Not really expensive, but definitely on the higher end of mid-range for sushi--and worth it!

If you want good Italian, fancier, definitely adult, Mangiamo's is fantastic. Ask for a table in the wine cellar if you want a quiet dinner. Not a real wine cellar, but brick walls with wine storage.
