Within their first year of buisiness they were featured in Bon Appetit magazine in recognition of the amazing food they make. Don't forget to try a cocktail, they are some of the best in town, and hey, no trip to Pittsburgh is complete without eating at east ONE perogie!

This place is actually a bar connected to a restaurant called Legume. Eat in whichever place you can manage to get a seat and be prepaired to enjoy! This locally owned place has been serving the farm to table experience in Pittsburgh since 2006. Every dish is prepaired from scratch, sustainably sorced from local farms and you will not get a better grass fed burger in town!

Do yourself a favor and book a reservation. This place is packed every day for good reason. Morcilla is a true spanish tapas bar. This is one of my favorite places to eat of all time! True to tapas style, you can eat small bites for hours and it is a great place to share and try everything. Bonus, it's about a 15 minute walk from our house!

There are 2 Thai restaurants in the Bloomfield neighborhood. This is THE one. It is a common local debate over which is better nd why, but having lived in the Pacific Northwest for eleven years, I consider this to be the closest thing to thai from home, and hte best in the city.

Great Grappa selection and italian cocktails. The restaurant in the front of the building is my favorite Italian food in town, Piccolo Forno. Mom makes the pasta fresh every day ( no lie!) and you can't beat wood fired pizza.

There are a few overlooks on the edge of the Mt. Washingon neighborhood. Go to any of them! You will get the best views of the city. There is also an incline you can ride on, which is an old trolly car system to get people up and down the steep hills.

Shopping
The strip is a 20 minute walk or a 5 min drive from our place, and it has almost everything you could need. If you love to cook, the apartment is equipped and this area has all the specialty foods you could imagine, Italian, Polish, Latino, Greek and more! Don't leave without going to Penn Mac and getting your fill of cheese and home made Italian gravy ( which is pasta sauce to most of you).

Come see the original art of Pittsburgh own Andy Warhol. This vibrant museum is a great place to not only see Warhol's art, but to get a little bit of Pittsburgh history in too. Don't miss the activity's in the basement. It may seem like kids crafts, but it is fun to create a little Warhol to bring home!
