The house is build from an ancient cave, behind Santa Maria La Nova main church. Magical stone hut built in 1818 lovingly converted with local materials into a simple, elegant home. Perched on a mountain ridge with valley vistas on all sides and a magnificent view into the Baroque town of Scicli with the sea beyond. A metal gate two fields away leads you into the land, where our neighbouring farmer grazes his cows and goats amongst the ancient carob grove. To the rear of the house is a vast carob tree hung with a hammock for dreamy afternoon siestas.
