It is a bird sanctuary of great diversity, as it covers altitudes between 800 and 3820 meters above sea level. The bird sanctuary was created by Dr. Alexander Skutch and is located in Quizarra, in Perez Zeledon. It also has a museum of belongings this prolific ornithologist, surrounded by a botanical garden.
The former home to one of the world’s best known ornithologists, Dr. Alexander Skutch, Los Cusingos is a special place if you are a birder.
We are surrounded by nature. Los Cusingos is a 5 minute walk from Finca David. It has hiking trails, petroglyphs, a museum of Alexander Skutch's house. Guided tours are available.
