Open Wednesday - Sunday from 8 am to 4 pm (Closed on Monday and Tuesday) Cost of entrance is $12 per person. There are 2 hike options. One is the longer hike, which goes all the way to the beach. It’s 10 km round trip and takes about 4 hours. The shorter hike is about 1 hour round trip. These are true hikes and depending on the season it could be muddy or have some tricky footing. Wear hiking footwear and bring lots of water (you can refill at the entrance). There are bathrooms at the ranger station.

The first national park in Costa Rica! A lovely experience. Two different hiking options; one short, one long. All sorts of wildlife and plantlife. Great place to photograph.
This place is far, but a unique experience. It's a park where you can hike through the jungle to get to an untouched, pristine beach. Definitely plan a whole day for it. Since it's totally undeveloped, you'll have to bring everything with you (and take all your waste with you on the way out!) Completely worth it though!
