The Ponderosa Farm Stay

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. Fishing the Macquarie River on the property while enjoying the local wild life. Or just sitting by the fire enjoying a cold beverage or two! It’s 120 acres of mainly farming land with alluvial flats to the river with boat access. We have horses, cattle , chickens , cats and dogs. Enjoy cooking brekky with our free fresh farm eggs and fresh oranges in season. A great experience back to nature. Located just 5 minutes from the airport, 9 minutes to a shopping centre, Hotel & Bowling Club & 15 minutes to Western Plains Zoo. The Caroo cottage is a well built shack that provides all the necessities that you'll need. From grabbing a cuppa to fishing down on the banks with the kids, it really reveals nature in the best way. From the sunrise to the sunset. Shower and toilet are external access only. It has access to wifi for all your technology needs. Pets are aloud but they are NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE COTTAGE OR BATHROOM!!! If you would like fishing rods please advise in a message. Enquire for early check in!

Charming farm stay close to Dubbo

As Dubbo has now entered into another drought, the lake is drying up, paddocks becoming bare and dusty. We would love to host you however understand if you would prefer to visit when the place is looking fabulous again. Sharing this information as I believe it’s best to be honest and don’t want to create unrealistic expectations. However inside the cottage is welcoming, sunsets great and lots of wildlife outside. Nil cleaning or surcharges applied.
