The Conductors' Cottage is a converted railway house that offers beautifully furnished accommodation for up to six guests. Set in the grounds of the main farmhouse, there are three cottages in total. Hackle Lodge

We are very excited about having just installed an inverter, which allows Hackle Lodge to run even during load shedding. No dark surprises. There are obviously limitations, but security, light and necessities are now not compromised. Two hours from Johannesburg, and one and a half hours from Pretoria, High in the Mpumalanga Mountains. Hackle is quietly situated on a mountain estate that is home to many wild birds and animals. It boasts 5 trout fishing dams. There's a SPA at the hotel.
