This farmhouse offers rather large living quarters with a well equipped kitchen/dining room, bathroom, TV, wifi connection, and stereo. There is access to a washer and dryer. The large bedroom comes with a bed for two, and can accomodate an extra bed if required. The house is in the verdant, gently rolling farmland typical of the Nievre, with a panorama that overlooks fields of wheat, corn, grazing cattle, and a centuries old pigeon tower: But peace and tranquility don't have to add up to isolation; The town of La Machine, with a supermarket; pharmacy, a museum and a lake suitable for swimming is only three kilometers away. Within a remarkably short driving radius of 45 minutes are an amazing array of towns and villages, many with romanesque churches, Renaissance architecture, good restaurants and canal paths that lend themselves to delightful walks and bicycling This area, off the beaten path, possesses a wealth of unexploited and undervisited places to discover, and the farmhouse in Thianges serves as an excellent base for either a peaceful or an exciting stay.

Our accommodation is in the center of the village, along the Loire by bike and by the canal. A stone's throw from the Château de Guedelon, Château de Saint Brisson, Pont Canal de Briare, Vineyards of Sancerre and Coteaux du Giennois, Gien. You will appreciate my accommodation with its 2 independent air-conditioned bedrooms, comfortable bedding, your independence and hotel service with beds made. My place is good for couples, solo travelers and families (with or without kids)
