More Hobbit than Batman (no parking), this little cave house is built into the limestone cliff above the beautiful Provençal village of Cotignac. One of the most enchanting properties in the area, it has a garden with roses, palms, cacti and oleander. Panoramic view of the village. Parking nearby but the property has no vehicle access, only steep narrow path. This is the owner’s painting studio - easel available. Eagle owls nest above - no late parties/loud music. Once called Arbec, our small stone shepherd's hut served as a kitchen and dining room. It was there that the milk was transformed into cheese and bush, where the family gathered for the evening vigil with the neighbors ,and where social life was tied up.Tools,seeds, harvests ,were also stored in the arbec. The stones of this small building are full of history and the thickness of its walls offers a sense of protection, peace, conducive to rest.
