This is one for the Mountain Bikers. Livingston is just South of Wagga via the Holbrook Rd and then left onto Obriens Creek Rd. Its a 4.3km loop and is great for the whole family. Its also undergoing a multi million $ upgrade so its only going to get better. More information can be found at www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au

This is the first (but hopefully not the last) Rail Trail in NSW. Its an easy day trip from Wagga and is well worth the effort. The surface is sealed so the riding is easy and suitable for mountain, commuter and road bikes. Its 22km (one way) with great views of snow capped mountains at the right time of the year. There are some great eateries at both ends of the trail. I would recommend starting at the Rosewood if you are riding in both directions as it finishes with an uphill (rail gradient) ride into Tumbarumba. This is a 42km track that loops around the city. Do not be fooled by its name, it can be ridden on bikes. It gives you the opportunity to experience wetlands, the river precinct and great views of the city. This is a mix of both sealed and dirt sections. Do the whole thing or break it up into sections, its completely up to you. More information can be found at www.visitwagga.com Ph: 1300 100 122

There are 3 MTB tracks here. Coolamon is only half an hour from Wagga and apart from the riding there are a number of places worth having a look at including the: Fire Museum; The Up To Date Store; The RSL Museum and the Cheese shop.

We do have a plethora of great MTB in our region. This park is not that far from Wagga and not far off the Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail. My son and his mates rate it as well worth the easy effort you need to make to get there. More info can be found on Facebook, just search Cycle Tumbarumba.

Yes folks theres more!! The MTB track at Cootamundra is another good track worth the day trip from Wagga. Search out the info on Facebook. For the Cricket lovers Cootamundra is also the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman and there is a museum and Captains walk to add to your visit. (I recommend the Olympic Hotel if you are looking for somewhere to get refreshments.
