La Trattoria Italiana is a very popular restaurant with our guests. Rustic and romantic. We suggest a lakeside table on the patio if weather allows! Call first for reservations and to ensure the (seasonal) restaurant is open.

Parks & Nature
300 steps from your suite: walk down the driveway, turn left and walk down Godkin, continue onto the cult-de-sac (Orca Road). You’ll see a sign for Daniel Point Park. There is a fairly steep trail with stone steps. Step down with care and you will be rewarded with a 3.6-acre peninsula park: walk to the very end of it and right down to the sea. If it’s windy on one side, try the other; there are many seaside places to hang out here. This is probably one of the quietest and most beautiful parks you will find on the Coast. There are no facilities available here, so a very nature-oriented experience. Lowtide offers tide pools on the rocks to explore and pink starfish; seals frequently hang out just offshore and eagles soar overhead (when in season).

worth seeing on a nice day
About 40 minutes to drive there and then an hour (at least) to hike to the rapids but definitely worth seeing if you have the time and energy. Be sure to check the tide tables so that you go when the rapids are large or extra large! http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/skook_narrows/

This small park has a sunny, grassy meadow, suitable for picnics, next to the salmon wintering pond. The trail hugs the bank of Anderson Creek which is perhaps one of the most productive salmon creeks on the Sunshine Coast. Best times for viewing the spawning salmon (chum & coho) are from late September to late December. This damp gully has a verdant growth of moss, fern covered rock bluffs, and huge moss-draped Big Leaf Maples.
