Tips from locals
300 steps from your suite: walk down the driveway, turn left and walk down Godkin, continue onto the cult-de-sac (Orca Road). You’ll see a sign for Daniel Point Park. There is a fairly steep trail with stone steps. Step down with care and you will be rewarded with a 3.6-acre peninsula park: walk to the very end of it and right down to the sea. There are no facilities available. Lowtide offers tide pools on the rocks to explore and pink starfish; seals frequently hang out just offshore and eagles frequently fly overhead.

This hike is about 35 minutes away but well worth the drive. A bit of a workout, but you are rewarded with spectacular views. Pro tip: grab a bite at the Grasshopper Pub or the Mexican restaurant nearby afterward.
