CTA fair card
If you plan on taking public transportation to travel you might want to invest in a Ventra card. Ventra is an electronic fare payment system for CTA and Pace.
Ventra cards can be purchased for $5 at Walgreens or most train stations. Ventra has an app and once your card is registered you get your $5 back in credit.
