My hangout spot on hot days. This park is just 5 minutes walking from my place. It's greener and less busy than the more known Vondelpark.

One of the most beautiful buildings Amsterdam has to offer. Inside you can see Rembrandt's Night Watch. They're renovating it at the moment, but this happens live in the museum so you can be part of it.

Chill out at this tropical bar underneath a spiraling parking lot and get yourself a cold drink (or food if you prefer). It's inspired by Paramaribo - Surinam. They have the biggest waterfront sun terrace in the center. So it's packed on hot days, but the atmosphere is always great! On weekend days they take out the furniture so you can dance to the music.

Brewery and taproom in an old Dutch windmill. Famous beer in Amsterdam, but gets more know in the rest of The Netherlands. They just opened a second taproom called 'Blauwe Theehuis' in the Vondelpark.

'The Woman with the Beard'. The name itself already made me curious. I must admit I only had cocktails, but my friends had dinner and they absolutely loved it. So still on my own wishlist... They describe their menu as "soul food from Brooklyn to Bali".

With it's vintage interior you feel like you've been send back to the 60's. The food is good. They have a small brewery so they serve their own beers. Next to it is a lawn where you can hang out on hot days and have a dip in the water.

Buurten
One of the fastest growing areas in Amsterdam. It gets more popular by the minute. Free ferries take you across the water 'Het IJ'. Lots and lots of nice, more raw, industrial places just to chill and hang out. I'd like to move there...
