Enjoy the sounds of nature and local wildlife when you stay in this unique home overlooking Lake Jillamatong, in the Snowy Mountains. Just a 10 min drive to Jindabyne or 35min drive to Thredbo/ Perisher for those that like to hike, snowboard or ski. Otherwise stay at the accomodation and simply relax! Outdoors we have a fire pit, an infra red Sauna and a outdoor spa. Inside we have an automatic smeg coffee machine, fireplace, bath, large sofa and TV with to simply put your feet up and unwind.

The owners of the property lived in the Cottage while building ‘The Castanian’ which was one of the grand manors in Cooma. The country estate sprawls over 27 acres. Mt Cooper Cottage is situated on a working sheep property. It was built to be the cook house for shearers in the 19th century, with historic significance. The integrity of the rustic charm remains with modern amenities for your convenience. The cottage is 1.5 hours drive from Jindabyne and 1.5 hours drive to the coast. The main heating is a wood fuel heater, you will need to be able to light a fire. Altitude approx 1000mtrs the climate is cold in winter, often cold during other seasons.
