The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

The Hide Away - Romantic Cottage to Watch Whales!

Smell the ocean, breathe in incredible views and never leave this most secret special hideaway. If you want a rustic albeit sometimes windy escape to restore your soul then it's for you. Please note you need to go down (and back up) 90 stairs to the property. We keep it simple but cosy with a snuggly reading corner, outside deck chairs and fireplace. please read the full description as people either love it or dislike it depending on their expectations.

Red House is a rustic cottage located in the village of Koringberg. Surrounded by wheat and animal farms, you can expect all the perks that come with a stay in the country side - Mozzies and flies can be annoying sometimes but you will also enjoy the silence, the stargaze, the beautiful colours of the farmland and the biggest swimming pool in the area! The Hayloft is a self catering cottage set in the spectacular village of central Hilton. It is located close to upmarket schools, restaurants,shopping centres, hospitals, many major sporting events and The Midlands Meander. Just 10 minutes drive to Pietermaritzburg and an hour and a half to King Shaka Airport. We also have the Crofters Loft, The Shepherds Loft and The Farriers. We are on a solar system so load shedding does not affect us.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.
