The idea of this experience is to connect with Pacha Mama (nature), enter where pumas, tigrillos, opossums, orchids and birds live, especially the cacique candle and many more species that live in this natural reserve, just 40 minutes from the city of Medellín. The time and starting point is at 9:00 am in Yolo Hostel located in Provenza Crr # 7A- 77 we will go by private vehicle to the Arenales that is the starting point of the ecological hike, we will be back at Yolo Hostel, at approximately 3:00 pm. For approximately three hours you will learn the step by step necessary to transform a rough stone into a beautiful sculpture. What you'll do The first step will be to show you the ingredients that you can find in all Oaxacan homes, one of the advantages of our experience is that we have a garden with herbs and organic chilis. Baldo my son will share his knowledge in mezcal. We have an extend variety of agaves and homemade creations that you need to try. An open bar of mezcal is waiting for you. Snacks? Of course but you need to do Oaxacan style which includes worms, chicatanas and chapulines. Fist course we will offer chileajo tostadas and fruit water. Have you heard anything about the metate and how tortillas are made by hand? Here we will show you how to make tortillas, tetelas and memelitas. One of my specialties is salsas made in a molcajete, we will roast the ingredients over charcoal and comal. In every class we make 4 to 6 salsas depending seasonal ingredients. The mole is the emblem of our cuisine and we will make one of the 7 moles from scratch using a metate, you can’t leave our home without tasting our mole negro, chocolate de agua, café de olla, nieves and a delicious cake. Everyone will participate in the different processes, cutting ingredients from the garden, making sauces and of course eating. We will spend between 3 or 4 hours horseback riding. We´ll leave from RESERVA GUADALAJARA - Finca hotel to visit the pastures of "Puerta de Palo" where we have milking cows. Then... hands into chocolate... you wil learn the way we make our modern chocolates. We will start with pure cacao to obtain cacao paste of concentrations from 70%, 75%, 85% and 100%. With this you will make different kinds of chocolates combining with fresh local ingredients and our own chocolate fillings and then just create your own chocolates. An experience for the more adventurous, going up the Favela via **MOTO TAXI** and then hiking up the trail, passing through a territory unknown (Favela Vidigal). You will be surrounded by nature, beautifull views, Eucaliptus forest and if we are lucky wild animals that live freely in the area. Please, Keep in mind that we will take short walks so you can know the Huacas (Inca temples) and the mysticism that surrounds them (because our horses are not allowed to access those protected areas). Itinerary highlights include snorkeling in Corales del Rosario National Park, relaxing on Isleta, and lunch on Isla grande. -Take a full-day tour in Colombia that everyone can enjoy. -Enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle of Cartagena. -Eat lunch at a traditional Colombian restaurant. -Use provided snorkel gear to observe native marine life. - Transportation by sports boat with sound system, captain, and assistant, to the Rosario Islands, departing from Cartagena. - 2 Snorkel sessions. ( The 2nd snorkel session is optional and depends on the ocean conditions.) - Stop at a private house for some snacks and beach. - Stop at Isla grande for lunch. Bilingual guide (Spanish/English) throughout the tour. - Exercise : Snorkel with mask and instructor. You must know how to swim to be able to snorkel.
