During your holiday at The Longhouse, a chef, butler, and housekeeper will pamper you, and you’ll have private access to boutique-hotel-worthy amenities from an infinity pool and yoga area to a barbecue and al-fresco wet bar. This luxury property also features a home gym and spa area, plus a smart TV, surround-sound system, and Wi-Fi. The living areas at this vacation rental are set in an open-sided pavilion with a traditional alang-alang roof. A pathway winds between palm trunks to reach this hilltop villa in the lush Tabanan area of Bali. Take a cooking or yoga class at the villa, try out surfing at one of the local breaks, and drive through rice fields to one of the nearby beaches for a day in the sun. The villa feels like a grown-up treehouse, with palms seeming to crowd right up to the 20-meter infinity pool, and a lounger-lined terrace. Arrange to have a massage in the poolside pavilion or the spa area—a great way to end a session on the private tennis court. Designed as a family home, the villa is a breezy take on the classic Balinese home. Leave the sides of the living and dining rooms open to savor the tropical weather, or close the living room if you need a little AC. Look for local-inspired details like carved chairs, built-in sectionals, and woven light fixtures that cast a soft glow. Though it feels like it’s tucked into the forest, the villa is a short drive or a 10- to 15-minute walk from the beach.
