This is my favorite park in Manhattan, because of the elderly street musicians who congregate on benches to play antique traditional instruments and sing old songs in Chinese from Mao's glory days. REMEMBER TO PUT A CASH TIP IN THEIR VESSELS. Then wander thru the park, past the crowd of elders playing boardgames.
really cool park lots of weird groupd of chinese musicians and people playing games
Super cute local park, there is alot going on here! Tai Chi in the mornings, Basketball games in the afternoons, Soccer games on the weekends! It's a very charming spot in the neighborhood and you're always bound to find endless entertainment people watching!
This park has a big astroturf field, a big pavilion where locals practice Tai-Chi, and lots of benches to watch locals play Chinese-chess. You can often find locals playing music from back home too. If your kids are driving you crazy, give them half an hour here as there are playgrounds, basketball courts, ping pong tables and chess tables. It's also a decent spot to rest and eat your dessert (lots of dessert options nearby). Don't bother looking for the statue of Christopher Columbus. They moved it decades ago.
